Umeå University, founded in 1965, has approximately 36,000 students and over 4,100 employees with a multicultural presence with students, teachers and researchers from all over the world. Umeå University is an internationally renowned research university and involved in many fruitful and exciting cooperative ventures throughout Europe and the world. Furthermore, Umeå University has solid regional roots with close association with society and industry in the three most nothern counties. We are currently coordinating a regional EU Project Office for the county of Västerbotten, in northern Sweden.
GRANTS OFFICE is, therefore, your contact point for cooperation with Umeå University and our regional, national and international partners from universities, industry and society.
Currently our focus for cooperation is:
- The European Union framework programmes for Research (FP 7)
- Competitiveness and Innovation (CIP)
- Regional (e.g. Interreg) and national programs for international cooperation, e.g. within VINNOVA (The Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems) and VR (The Swedish Research Council).
